Great News for 2022!

You read that right, Volvo has made the decision to reduce the price of the 2022 Volvo XC40 Recharge, and what a reduction it is! By lowering the cost of the standard model by $5,000, it falls below the fateful $60,000 mark, making it suddenly eligible for the $8,000 provincial rebate for the purchase of an electric vehicle. As you can see, the SUV can now be purchased for $13,000 less than last year, a change that will convince some of the more reluctant buyers!

An updated powertrain, consisting of two electric motors, also gives it an extra range, bringing it to 359 km on a single charge. The new heat pump may well be a contributing factor to this improvement—in addition to heating the car even faster!

Although updated, the 78-kWh battery still packs a punch, with 402 horsepower and 486 lb-ft of torque. Handling is just as exemplary as with the gasoline model, as the 2022 Volvo XC40 Recharge comes with standard all-wheel drive. Furthermore, its power makes it capable of towing loads of 900 kg.

Apart from the mechanical aspects, it is certainly the interior that will convince the consumer in search of a modern vehicle. Technologies include Google integrated, including a navigation system displaying traffic information, charging stations and more. The 9-inch portrait touchscreen is easy to use and displays all your applications.

It also displays the 360° camera with side sensors, making parking a breeze. There is no shortage of driver-assist technologies: obstacle detection, rear cross-traffic alert and blind spot warning help you prevent the worst.

Comfort-wise, the vehicle doesn’t disappoint with its luxurious interior, including power adjustments with lumbar support and memory, standard heated front seats. The Ultimate version adds an extra touch of luxury with heated rear seats and a 13-speaker Harman Kardon premium audio system.
